KARACHI: Mother’s Day 2009 celebrated across Pakistan like other parts of the world on Sunday.Different activities were organized in the metropolitan to mark the day.The day is celebrated on different dates across the world but in Pakistan, like many other countries, it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. People presented special gifts as well as bouquets and cards to mothers – God’s greatest blessing on earth. Young people thronged the stalls while different ceremonies were held in schools and hotels to celebrate the day. Most of the young people while talking to Geo News said that the day is fully dedicated to the mothers and the people pay tribute to their mothers while presenting gifts and bouquets.
